Alleima has traditionally relied on tradeshows and events as key drivers of its sales and marketing efforts. In 2015, seeking to enter the new market, Malaysia, SMT partnered with Fifth Ring for their debut at Oil and Gas Asia (OGA). Fifth Ring collaborated globally to drive a series of global marcomms activities focusing on Asia Pacific, Americas and EMEA regions. The activities include supporting product launches, content development (long and short-form content types), media interviews, media events, article placements, newsletter generations, and event-specific websites to help raise brand awareness at that time.

Seeing Alleima’s need to explore digital marketing to reach out to its target audience beyond traditional methods, Fifth Ring recommended digital campaigns in addition to the current activities, which included organic and paid campaigns and CRM marketing. The approach for strategic marketing for Alleima ensured the success of its rebranding and thought leader positioning worldwide. The events include Offshore Europe, OTC Asia, OTC Houston, Oil & Gas Asia, Rio Oil & Gas and ADIPEC.

Working for a global account meant ongoing conversations within Fifth Ring offices and our clients to ensure consistent messaging appropriate for each market. During regular catch-up meetings (by region/global), Fifth Ring would strategise and plan for upcoming events, editorial opportunities and collaborate on current projects and deliverables.
