The recognition comes as the global agency expands its team and strengthens its international client portfolio, securing £750,000 in new revenue.

Fifth Ring has once again been recognised as the top independent B2B marketing agency in Scotland, marking its fourth consecutive year at the top.

The company is listed as the highest performing Scottish firm in the prestigious 2025 B2B Marketing UK Agencies Benchmarking Report. This year, it climbed 16 places to secure the 41st spot in the UK-wide list, underscoring its continued growth and impact in the industry.

Widely recognised as the flagship publication for B2B marketing in the UK, the benchmarking report showcases the 'biggest and best' agencies shaping the sector. Its league tables provide key insights based on gross income and year-on-year growth.

Fifth Ring is also recognised among the top 10 leading specialists in Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and UK demand generation. It also stands among the industry's top performers in brand strategy.

Fifth Ring’s recognition comes during a period of significant growth, having secured £750,000 in new client revenue over the past year. This expansion reflects the agency’s growing global footprint, with around 40 new clients across key international markets. The company has also strengthened its team with strategic hires in Aberdeen, Singapore, and Houston.

In the UK:

  • Nikki Annand has been appointed Head of Content, a newly created role overseeing written, video, data visualisation, and interactive content. She joins Fifth Ring after successfully running her own marketing consultancy for several years, specialising in strategy, content, and campaigns for global B2B clients. Prior to this, Nikki held roles across numerous marketing disciplines, spanning almost twenty years in the industry.
  • Eve Ferguson joins as PR Manager. A former journalist, she brings a wealth of experience from her time as an account director at a PR and marketing firm, where she specialised in supporting global energy and industry clients.
  • Ashleigh Barbour takes on the role of PR and Crisis Communications Manager, bringing extensive experience from The Press and Journal’s live news team and nearly a decade in communications with Police Scotland, where she played a pivotal role in major incident response, crisis communications, and resilience planning.

Fifth Ring’s group managing director Jennifer Maclennan said: “Our success is built on consistently delivering exceptional work that exceeds client expectations, and these rankings reflect the trust our clients place in us to champion their interests.

2024 was a phenomenal year for Fifth Ring, marked by numerous accolades that underscore our industry leadership. We were named among the top 20 largest UK-headquartered B2B marketing agencies, won Agency of the Year at the Houston Business Marketing Alliance 2025 Lantern Awards, were shortlisted for Global Agency of the Year at the B2B Marketing Awards, and won Gold for energy & industry at The Drum Awards for our work on the E-FWD campaign.

“We were also recognised as one of the few companies across the UK to make the 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces in Advertising, Media & Marketing list, and earned Great Place to Workcertification - a testament to our commitment in creating a positive and supportive company culture.

With key appointments and major new business wins, 2025 is shaping up to be even stronger. Our unique approach - blending art and science to help clients identify and own their market spaces - remains at the heart of what we do. Coupled with our expertise and strategic presence in the UK, Houston, and Singapore, we are uniquely positioned to drive global success for businesses worldwide.”

Founder Ian Ord said Fifth Ring’s focus in the coming year is global revenue growth, international expansion, and acquisitions that further charge the company’s differentiated position.

“Over the past three decades and more, Fifth Ring has grown from a small, generalist agency in Aberdeen into a global B2B marketing specialist, partnering with industry leaders worldwide,” he said.

“Our deep understanding of international B2B markets in key verticals allows us to craft powerful, boundary-crossing marketing strategies. With clients spanning nearly every continent, they don’t choose us for proximity - they choose us because we understand their world.

“The B2B Marketing bench-marking report describes the past year as a challenging time for agencies, with marketing budgets shrinking. However, Fifth Ring is bucking the trend. With new hires and a strong position in the market, we are poised for further growth.”
