International B2B marketing specialist Fifth Ring has made a string of appointments across its three offices following several significant contract wins.
The Aberdeen-headquartered agency, which has offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia, builds long and beneficial relationships for and with its clients, fed by experts in creative, media, public relations and branding, while its digital teams focus on inbound and lead generation campaigns.
The company is active in a limited number of markets in which its experts have deep insight, blending the best of art and science to enable clients to identify and own their chosen market spaces. And it has strengthened its talent pool with the addition of seven new team members in its Aberdeen office; three in Houston; and four in Singapore.
Fifth Ring founder and CEO Ian Ord said: “Each region performed well last year, and it was a successful 12 months for us. The business is in good shape and has improved performance on most of its metrics, which on a pure numbers front is excellent.
“That said, the numbers are generated as a result of the efforts and skills of our people, the quality of our deliverables and our obvious creative talent. That is where I believe we have done better and better.
“That has been illustrated by recently winning three Golden Bee awards for our work with Expro, CHINT and Ithaca Energy, as well as being a finalist in the Marketing Magic category at the Northern Star Business Awards 2024.
“To continue to perform at the highest level, we need to supplement our already-talented teams across our three global sites. I am confident that with the addition of 14 new employees across the world we will do just that. I am pleased to welcome them all to the company and look forward to seeing them thrive in an exciting time for us all.”
Among the appointments in Aberdeen are Account Executive Nicole Quirie, Account Manager Sarah Gray, who has joined from Sport Aberdeen, and Developer Ryan Anderson has moved to the company after seven years at Azzurro-Blu.
On the creative side, we have invested in emerging talent with the appointments of David McIvor as Junior Copywriter and Heather Clark as Junior Art Director. Meanwhile, Jen Hutchinson has joined from Proserv to become Marketing Manager and Natalia Janicka, formerly of the Net Zero Technology Centre, has been appointed Campaign Manager.
Further afield, Fifth Ring’s Houston office – which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023 – has a new Regional Director in the form of Todd Gregory, while Account Executive Ani Baez and Senior Account Manager Robbert Uges have complemented the Client Services team.
Todd, who is Vice President of Membership at the American Marketing Association Houston, has enjoyed spells with KERN, Saxum and Hadfield Communications across a 15-year career in several US states.
Ian said of his appointment: “Our American office is hugely important to the continued success of Fifth Ring as a whole. Todd joins us with a great track record and extensive agency and marketing experience. He is very well connected in the Houston marketing community and shares our ambition to grow our US business.
“One of our many strengths is our ability to work seamlessly across continents and time zones to deliver for our clients, and there is unlimited opportunity for Fifth Ring in the US.”
Elsewhere, Fifth Ring’s Singapore office has welcomed several new colleagues, with Account Manager Amber Liew and Account Coordinator Charin Ng joining full-time in recent months, while Account Specialist Tan Jia Wen and Account Executive Dana Teoh have been seconded to a client.
Ian added: “With three colleagues also returning from maternity leave in the early months of 2024, it’s shaping up to be an exciting year ahead. With a strong staff of 50 across the globe, I am certain we will continue to deliver for clients all around the world, while at the same time cementing our position as a first-class B2B marketing agency.”
